The trailer opens on a warm lunchtime scene between Bela and a mother who seems slightly off: she forgets what Bela ate for breakfast and talks about the time before Bela was born. That uneasy sweetness sets up the central idea of the film, an entity that copies Ursula’s face to earn a lonely child’s trust.
From there it shifts to the real Ursula learning that “somebody” who looks like her has been in the house, and to Bela’s calm insistence that the visitor is nice. The final beats play on the question every parent and viewer is left with: which mother is real?
